Creativity

Why do I create? Creating beautiful cards is a way of expressing who I am. When someone receives one of the handmade cards I have created, it warms their hearts. To know that someone took the time to sit down and make that card with them in mind is a special treat.

My First Thanksgiving

This year was the first year I have cooked Thanksgiving Dinner at my home.  We usually go to Virginia to spend the holiday with my family, but this year, we just couldn't afford it.  So, I invited my mom and my uncle to drive up and spend the holiday with us.  They came in on Wednesday evening and stayed until Friday morning.  Thursday we got up and after a couple cigs and some caffeine, we started the process of cooking.  I have Celiac's Disease so I made a loaf of gluten free bread for the dressing (some ppl call it stuffing), cooked the giblets with celery and onions, put on the green beans, peeled the potatoes for mashed potatoes, Mom made her casserole that my husband loves.  Swiss Vegetable Medley it's called.  Mom made the pumpkin pies and I made a fruit salad.  We had 3 cans of cranberry sauce because my 6 year old can eat a whole can by herself.  She has always liked it.  Her first Thanksgiving she was 7 months old and she got her first taste of cranberry sauce and has been hooked ever since.  All in all it was a great day.  I really enjoyed all the cooking..all the wonderful smells..and spending the holiday with my family.  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  Now, it's time to start preparing for Christmas.

Life Unscripted

My life is so busy.  I  am homeschooling for the first time this year.  What a challenge.  It is interesting to see the way Kierstynne tries to manipulate me because I am her mom.  Sometimes I wonder where they learn all these bad traits at such an early age.  Well, all I can do is trust in the Lord to give me what I need to teach her  and raise her according to the Word of God.

I am still trying to get pictures of my projects uploaded.  I will work on that this week.  I am going to be entering and participating in some challenges on a couple different sites that I found.  I can't wait.

I am still doing the swaps on Scrapaholics Anonymous yahoo group.  It is a great group and the owner, Barbara, is amazing.  She comes up with the greatest swaps.  Alisha runs the "Happy Scrappy Birthday Club" and the One on One Card Swap.  Each of these is a fun swap to do.

Thanks for checking out my blog.  'Til next time...God bless you and yours.

New Blog

Finally...I am able to start blogging again.  My account was cancelled due to someone hacking my email.  I will be uploading some of my cards and projects again in a few days.  You will also be able to see examples of the cards I create to sell.  I will eventually figure out how to post a link so that you can order directly from my blog.  I am not the most technically savy person around so bear with me.
